Virtual Learning Day

Dear BEA Community: On Thursday, 46 faculty, staff, and bus drivers will be receiving their second dose of the Moderna vaccine.  We anticipate that several individuals will experience side effects that may impact their ability to work on Friday.  Therefore, the Bald Eagle Area SD will move to Virtual/Remote instruction on Friday, March 19.  As a reminder, Virtual instruction consists of:

  • Live streamed lessons - just like a regular school day.
    • If a teacher is absent (e.g., ill), course content will be posted to Google Classroom or sent via email for students to complete independently.
  • Students follow their daily schedule
  • Students expected to be in attendance and actively engaged in Zoom lessons (except for times like lunch, study halls, or recess - depending on grade level).
  • Attendance taken by the classroom teacher each period/class.
  • Assignments and/or classwork are due as stated by the teacher during class.
  • Grading will follow the current grading scale and be evaluated consistent with teacher expectations.

NOTE: If you do not have internet or your internet is unreliable, please contact your child's building principal and teacher.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
