Dear BEA Community:
We have been made aware of several Covid cases with bus drivers in the Mountaintop Area. After working with the contractors, there are two buses that will not be able to run, Bus 17, which sends students to the MS/HS and Wingate from the Mountaintop Area and Bus 23, which carries Mountaintop Elementary students.
If your child(ren) ride either bus, there are two choices. Parents, if you are able to drive your child(ren) to and from school or if you have a high school student that could drive to and from school, they will be able to attend school. If not, your child(ren) will need to continue remote learning.
We anticipate this should last no longer than this week. Unfortunately, we don't have substitutes who can drive these busses.
I would ask that you email your principal and let them know if your child will be attending school in-person or will need to continue remote learning by Sunday evening so they can inform the teachers which students will continue to do remote learning.
I am hopeful we do not have any additional issues occur for the remainder of the weekend. If you have any questions, please email your child's/children's principal.
Sincerely,
Scott V. Graham
Superintendent
