Milk Carton Supply Chain Shortage
Milk has always been a staple offering in the School Meals Program. In the coming weeks, the supply of 8 ounce cartons to package milk will be in short supply on a nationwide scale. The fluid milk itself is plentiful. To keep schools supplied with milk, our vendors will provide the schools with milk in half-gallon or gallon bulk containers. Self-serve stations will be made available to our Middle and High School student population along with cups for milk. At the Elementary level, students will get milk at their seats after they have moved through the cafeteria line and received their lunch. Various adults will help with the distribution of milk moving from student to student to give them milk. This supply chain issue may impact our schools into January 2024.
Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation as we continue to face these challenges together.
To honor all Veterans/current military personnel within the Bald Eagle Area School District will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 9:35 am in the high school gymnasium. Please RSVP by Friday, November 3rd at 814-355-4868

This weeks is Red Ribbon Week! October 23rd
Red Ribbon Week highlights the importance of living a drug-free life. It presents an opportunity for parents, educators, and communities to reinforce the drug-free messages they share with their children throughout the year. During Red Ribbon Week, youth and adults around the nation pledge to increase their knowledge by learning more about the destructive effects of drug abuse, including prescription drug misuse, and renew their commitment to live a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
As a reminder, No School Friday, October 20 2023 for students. Tomorrow is an Act 80 day for staff.
Tonight's meeting in the LGI room at the high school is part of a routine Comprehensive Plan update. This is required by the state and takes place every three years. The focus of this meeting is to discuss curriculum and instructional practices that will be provided over the next three years in our BEA schools. Previous copies of the Comprehensive Plan going back to 2016 are available on our website. If you are receiving this communication via a phone call, they can be found by searching for "Comprehensive Plan" at beasd.org. If you are receiving this communication via email, the links and attachments are included. If you have any questions about this process, please contact one of your School Board Members and they will be happy to discuss this with you.
